Sunrise on the Beach

It just seems like the thing to do when people visit...wake up before the birds and drive to the beach to collect shells. So that's what we did this morning with Kelli's folks and her brother, Christian.

After walking on the beach, Jeremy and Christian decided to go swimming and play frisbee. There had been a dog nearby for quite some time who decided to get in on the game. It was quite funny! She had a great time though! That is until she bit the frisbee in half. :)

Tonight we do fireworks. Fun day!

Post Op report

Well, Kelli had to have a D&C last Monday. All went well and the doctor has already mapped out a 'plan of attack' for our next try. But that won't be for a few months so that Kelli's body can rest. It's been a rough week physically, but everything is happening "normally" as part of the healing process. So we're grateful for that.

That's about all there is to report right now. We'll keep you posted.

Thank you to all for your prayers and words of encouragement. Emotionally we're doing well and still optimistic for the future. We'll get our twins yet! :)

Sad News

Jeremy and I got some bad news today. They did another ultrasound, and though the baby is still there, there isn't a heartbeat anymore. My doctors are waiting until Monday to see if my body will take care of it on it's own and if not, I will be going in for D&C on Monday or Tuesday. We appreciate all of your prayers and support to this point. We will be fine and get through this just fine but for the next few days, I can't say that I'll be answering the phone. Telling the story over and over again doesn't make it any easier. We are fine and don't need anything right now. Just time and understanding.

Thanks again for your support. And don't worry, we haven't given up on kids. We'll try again as soon as we can.

Fertility Fun

So we've been going through the fertility treatments. That's loads of fun! At least not for Kelli. Between the hormones and an ultrasound that had her up in a very uncomfortable position for an hour, It can get rather tedious. But we'll at least know, whatever way it goes, that we've tried our best!

Here's a photo from a recent wedding we attended of our next door neighbors'. It was a lot of fun! We laughed with Jeremy's mom & sister and danced the night away with our neighbors. Our stomachs hurt afterwards from all the laughing throughout the night.

Trip to Cali

Before anyone has a cow, yes, we did go to California, but no, we didn't tell anyone because we just had too much to do and we were not out there very long!

But we did manage to get a family day at Knott's Berry Farm in. I will scan photos in and post them later. Would you believe we got my 74 year old dad on roller coasters? For those that are familiar with Knott's, we got him on Ghostrider and Montezuma's Revenge. My mom road the Jaguar ride but she can't do the others because of her back. But all in all it was a fun day!

Sunday was family dinner for Easter. Igor & Tina (Kelli's cousin) are expecting their first baby and so we had a cake made of diapers for her.

Heidi (another of Kelli's cousins) came with her daughter Kayla and Sean. Dinner was good and it was great to spend time with everyone! We even got a photo op! Back row LtoR: Sean, Heidi, Jeremy, Kelli, Christian, Igor. Front row LtoR: Kayla, Kelli's mom, Kelli's dad, Tina.

Jeremy had fun playing "where's the bunny" with Kayla and stealing Kayla's bunny ears. She thought it was funny. Must be nice to be easily amused!

Funniest thing of the week was watching Little Roxy (Christian's bulldog) chase the garden hose. Got a great shot of her biting the water! Big Roxy (the boxer) was hard to pin down for a picture but we got a cute one of her with bunny ears. Yes, Christian's dogs are both named Roxy. He had the boxer first, named her Roxy, then adopted the bulldog later and her name just happened to be Roxy as well. Hence, Big & Little Roxy.
